Forged Steel Camshafts
- Tighter Grain Structure: Our 178 steel cams are forged, not cut from bar stock—resulting in a more dense, more uniform grain structure.
- Enhanced Longevity: A natural "halo" in grain structure forms on the exterior during forging, adding strength for extended service life.
DLC-Coated Tappets
Gas carburized & polished, with a Diamond-Like Carbon coating that dramatically reduces friction and wear. Requires quality 15W-40 oil (or 5W-40 in sub-zero conditions) with adequate zinc, phosphorus, and molybdenum — low-additive oils void the warranty.
Heavy-Duty Pushrods
3500+ lbs buckling force vs. ~1800 lbs for OEM pushrods — drastically reduces deflection and keeps valve timing consistent under extreme conditions.
Upgraded Rocker Arms
High-quality casting, gas carburized ball & foot, DLC-coated trunnion — minimizes galling and friction.
Maintain 0.010″/0.020″ valve lash, recheck after run-in and after re-torquing the cylinder head, keep engine speed below 4,000 RPM with OEM valve springs. Fleetguard LF16035 Stratapore recommended oil filter.
SEMA-Certified (49-State Compliance) for street use.
