5.9L Fire Ring Head Gasket — Standard

Built for 5.9L common-rail engines making cylinder pressure a conventional head gasket cannot hold. Suits both street performance and competition builds, provided the machining and studs are done properly.

Gasket Specifications

• Thickness: .056" (1.4 mm)
• Wire: .105", 4.560" bore diameter
• Groove: .0120" radiused groove in the head, .032"–.033" depth

Installation Requirements

• Head studs are mandatory
• Machine head and block for flatness before installing
• Under 800 hp: a groove in either head or block is adequate
• Over 800 hp: cut grooves in both
