The FASS Drop-In Series Diesel Fuel System is engineered to be the most effective filtration solution for the 3.0L Duramax. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty, it protects against issues caused by fuel contamination. If you drive a GMC, Chevrolet or Cadillac with a 3.0L Duramax and want better fuel filtration, improved reliability and injector protection - without an external frame-mounted pump but with simple installation - this is the perfect solution.
The FASS Drop-In Series System for the LM2/LZ0 Duramax replaces the plastic OEM single filter housing with a precision, in-house designed and CNC'd 6061-T6 billet aluminum dual filter housing made in the USA. This system uses the OEM water separator element together with our 2-micron Extreme Water Separator. Keeping the OEM water separator element lets the water-in-fuel (WIF) sensor work correctly, warning you before water reaches the clean side of the filter. Our Extreme Water Separator handles final filtration, capturing particulates down to 2 microns and removing over 99% of free and emulsified water, versus the 5-micron OEM rating.
