Upgrade your Mercedes with the ultimate defense against heat and wear. The Mercedes Oil Cooler Upgrade Kit is a precision‑engineered, bolt‑on system that routes hot engine oil through a high‑efficiency, all‑aluminum heat exchanger—dropping oil temperatures by 50 °F under load. Complete with Dave’s proprietary, precision‑machined adapter block, 316‑grade stainless‑steel fittings, reinforced hoses and a lifetime warranty, this kit installs in under an hour without drilling or permanent modifications.

Designed specifically for Mercedes CDI passenger cars and Sprinter vans (plus popular non‑OEM installs), it maintains optimal viscosity, prevents sludge and varnish, protects costly turbochargers, and extends both oil‑change intervals and engine life. Exclusive to Dave’s workshop, you won’t find this unique cooling solution anywhere else. Keep your Mercedes running cooler, cleaner and stronger—mile after mile.

    MB Sprinter oil cooler

Nicely made product, the oil lines are plenty long enough that the routing had me place the inlets towards the passenger side of the van. Made the lines easy to place in this configuration, which is opposite of what the video shows. Also if you have the horn upgrade set up you’ll have to move them as they wont fit in front location but it’s an easy relocate to the drivers side. Also I took liberty of modifying the cooler bracket and made the cooler mount higher up by removing Dave’s name (sorry Dave 😬) but this allowed the trans cooler to only be partially blocked and still worked fine. If you not savvy with some minor custom work, then Daves mounting method works just right! All in all its a great product with results needed for the OM642 V6 diesel.

    The Mercedes Sprinter Magic Solution

Wow!!!!! I can only imagine what is going to happen when i have my 3.0 V6 running cooler oil…. I have been changing my oil every 1,000 miles to make sure my turbo is not getting any coking. These engines are so powerful we really need this kind of long term solution to keep the oil temp low and the wear at zero.

I swear that changing the oil every 1,000 miles makes this engine bulletproof. I have not ordered this oil cooler yet but I can tell it’s going to make such a difference on the robust platform this sprinter is built on.

    Saved my transmission

I pulled an old hunting RV with my 1994 Chevy Van. Unfortunately, as I pulled my RV over the Blue Mountains pass, in Washington. The climb is about ten miles, and as I pulled my RV up the pass, my transmission got so hot, that the fluid was boiling out of the vent on my transmission. I had to pull over two or three times to let it cool off. I thought my transmission was toast, but it continued to work, as long as I let it cool down before pushing it again. Several months later, I planned another trip, but this time I purchased an old radiator from a junk yard, and hooked it up in series with the existing cooler. My second trip was much better, pulling the same load, and I didn’t have to pull over. A year later, I sold my rig to a needy family for $1.00, because I was sure it was going to fail. Five years later, it was still running, without transmission problems. Putting a transmission cooler like the one that Dave sales will save your transmission.

One of the countries leading experts.

I trust Dave and his team with my 150K Sprinter. I travel the country with this thing. Its my lifeblood. I've seen these engines tank because of high oil temps from members in my sprinter group.

This is the cheapest insurance you can have for your $30,000 engine.
